Hi everyone! After 30 years of “bravely refusing” to go on a missions trip, I finally obeyed God’s calling about 2 years. Now I’m about to go on my sixth trip to Ethiopia. I know God continues to call me on these trips, and I believe at least part of that is to take my daughter Rachel as well. I do think at times I am becoming a missionary’s father. I am excited to think of God saving many more souls in these next two weeks. It is going to be awesome. My prayer request is simply that you pray for us as often as God brings us to your minds, because your prayers make such a difference.
To all those who do not know: this shall be my fifth trip!!!!!! I totally cannot wait to go back and see what God has in store for me – and the rest of the team – this time. I’m also hoping to not get or be sick on this trip – I know, picky right? I just know this trip will be just as amazing as every other trip!
This will be my fourth trip to Ethiopia. The people of Ethiopia have stolen my heart, and I am forever grateful God has chosen to use me in this way. I have the privilege of taking my oldest son Jax on these trips and watching him tell people about Jesus. There is nothing better! My husband Mike and I have three younger boys as well. I look forward to the day when all six of us can travel to Ethiopia together.
This is my fourth trip to Ethiopia. I want to keep going back, because I want everyone to know about Jesus. I love playing with the Ethiopian kids and learning about their culture.
Hi! I’m Taylor. I’m a twenty-something living in North Park (San Diego) with a love for Jesus, coffee and mascara (in that order). I love doing life with people over a cup of coffee, and seeing how Jesus brings out the goodness and beauty of others. This is my 3rd trip to Ethiopia, and my fourth trip with E3! On my days off from work, you can find me on a spin bike, at a new restaurant or coffee shop or on my mom’s (Erin Johnson’s) couch because she has air conditioner. I love watching how Jesus is moving in Ethiopia, and am WAY too excited to see how he’s going to let us watch him do his work while we’re there.
Born and raised in San Diego, I have completed my Bachelors Degree at Cal State San Marcos and am now working with the Student Life ministry at LifeBridge Church. This will be my first time in Ethiopia. I am excited to meet and do life with the people!
Marie Von Dane
My name is Marie Von Dane, I’ve been married to Chuck for 12 years, and our son Tymen is 11. God clearly spoke to me when I was 13, telling me I was to be a missionary. I prepared for this journey in high school, got off track in college, and became interested again in my 20’s and 30’s while being a “sender” for friends going into the mission field. I’ve watched many people go to Ethiopia over the last five + years but never felt God calling me there until a few months ago when He used, of all things, a fortune cookie (with the promise of the best coffee) to draw me to Ethiopia! I’m looking forward to seeing God’s love and power come alive in me, my teammates, and all those we meet in Ethiopia.
My name is Bill Williamson, and Debbie and I will have been married 34 years this September. We have three daughters: Kathryn, married to Mike and living in Portland, Or; Megan, married to Brian, living in LaVerne, Ca., and have two daughters Berkley and Chloe; and Haley who is living in Spokane, Wa. I have been serving as a pastor in some capacity my adult life, and have recently stepped away from ministry in the local church. In the process of stepping away from one type of ministry, God is opening doors in other types of ministry. This includes my introduction to e3 Partners. I am going to Ethiopia to participate in what e3 is doing for the Kingdom, sharing the love of Christ to whoever and however possible. I have been to Africa on four other occasions, twice to Kenya and twice to Rwanda. I was invited to join this team to Ethiopia as I explore partnering with e3 Partners in future ministry endeavors.
